Supporting Alberta’s nonprofit sector through shared learning, leadership development, and practical capacity building.
These Capacity Building Programs emerge from a clear pattern we see across the sector: leaders are navigating increasing complexity, operational strain, staffing pressures, funding uncertainty, and rapid technological change, often in isolation, and often without access to the peer relationships, practical tools, or protected time needed to lead well.
We believe the sector's challenges are shared, and the responses should be too.
This initiative tests a model of collective leadership development and digital confidence-building designed to strengthen individual organizations while contributing to sector-wide infrastructure.
Participants are partners in refining what works and what doesn't.
The FAQ
Who can apply? Any individual working within a nonprofit organization across the province of Alberta!
Can multiple people from my organization apply? Yes! However, to ensure the best experience, we prioritize cohort diversity. This means we look for a mix of organization types, sub-sectors, leadership levels, and the specific challenges you’re looking to solve.
How do I apply? Applications must be submitted by the individual, not the organization. Tell us your story!
Is there a cost? Not for you! Thanks to the generous support of the Calgary Foundation and RBC, all program fees for these pilot cohorts are being relieved. Your investment is simply your time, your full participation, and your commitment to providing the feedback we need to make these programs a success.
What is the deadline? All applications must be in by noon on March 6th.
