Sasha Scott is a composer, producer and violinist born and based in London.
Her work moves between acoustic and electronic music, often merging the two to create hypnotic sound worlds that blur the lines between the organic and the synthetic. She has been commissioned by the London Symphony Orchestra, 12 Ensemble, Aurora Orchestra, Sean Shibe, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Beijing Music Festival, and Her Ensemble, with performances across Europe, the USA, and Asia.
She has performed solo live electronic sets at Hackney Empire (alongside the London Symphony Orchestra), the Purcell Room, The Pickle Factory, and TACO! Her solo EPs, Spiral (2023) and Angel (2024), were both featured in Rat Heart / Tom Boogz’s Guest Charts for Boomkat (2023–2024), as well as on The People’s Party with Afrodeutsche on BBC Radio 6 Music, NTS Radio, and BBC Radio 3’s New Music Show. Collaborations include remixing Ben Corrigan and Robert Ames’ track Chrome Ocean, released on Modern Recordings, and scoring a 30-second film for Burberry’s Outerwear Campaign 2024.
As an orchestrator and arranger, she co-orchestrated Loraine James’ album Building Something Beautiful For Me with Ben Corrigan for James’ performances with the London Contemporary Orchestra, and solely orchestrated the television score composed by Carly Paradis for The Control Room on BBC One. She has also made arrangements for artists such as JADE, Afrodeutsche, Hania Rani, Anna Meredith, and Clark.
She regularly plays violin in the London Contemporary Orchestra and Chineke! Orchestra. Recent highlights include being a session violinist on The Smile's album Wall Of Eyes, and on film scores such as "Wuthering Heights", Bugonia, and One Battle After Another. She has played in venues across the UK & Europe, including BBC Proms, BBC Radio 6 Festival, F175 Live, and Burberry SS23 runway show.
She graduated from the Royal College of Music in 2024 with a BMus, where she studied composition with Mark-Anthony Turnage and violin with Yuri Zhislin. She was a winner of BBC Young Composer of the Year in 2019 and was shortlisted for the Arts Foundation Futures Awards for Music 2026.
