Quantum Leopard

Quantum Leopard is London's premier pay-what-you-like, no-kicking down, gender-balanced, zone 1 Saturday night comedy night. We've won the Chortle Award for Best Comedy Night in London in 2018 and 2019, Best Live Comedy Format in 2022 and Best Themed Comedy Night in 2023. We have a lovely time. We've been going since 2015 and have a core of stone cold lovely regulars who make it a community as well as a comedy night. Quantum Leopard has a strict "no kicking down" policy on all material. No chav-bashing, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism or whorephobia and no picking on the audience. You will be surprised to hear that some people on the internet do not like us for this reason.&nbsp; A lot of people would LOVE to come to our thoroughly splendid night, but can't make it for reasons of not living in London, spoon shortage, childcare etc.&nbsp; So we're going to be recording the shows, and uploading them here for YOU. All money raised here will go to the performers and will offset the costs of running the live show, and you get to see a little bit of what we're up to, by which I mean, we are recording basically everything we are up to.&nbsp; I'm a socialist. and this is a socialist night. It's important to me, and to the Quantum Leopard community, that the night stays pay-what-you-can. From each according to ability, to each according to their need.&nbsp;As such, all Patreon tiers are going to have more or less the same benefits, however much you chip in to support the show, in a move that some people have described as "political correctness gone mad", "financial suicide" or "the reason the Soviet Union collapsed, are you fucking mad?". If you like what we do, pay what you can. I reckon we're worth one hour's wage per show (we're once every three weeks). If you can't give more, don't worry - the Tories are in, times are hard, I get it. If you can - great, and thankyou! You're helping support the idea that a great night out at the comedy shouldn't be put out of someone's reach just because they're stuck on the pointy end of capitalism. I reckon that one hour's wage is about fair for the show - this level is the standard hourly rate for a skilled tradesperson, plus or minus some fiddling with tax, and about what you'd pay for a central London Saturday night Leicester Square comedy show. Frankly I'd pay about this much to not watch a central London Saturday night Leicester Square comedy show, but maybe that's just me.
