My newest cartographic creation! This map shows the majestic Yorkshire Dales National Park and Nidderdale AONB. Six major hiking routes are mapped, plus thirty peaks, over fifty towns and villages, and places of interest like waterfalls, caves, geologic formations, ancient abbeys, and castles. Inset maps of five iconic villages and towns of the Dales complete the map, including Grassington, where All Creatures Great and Small was filmed.
This map shows the Norse and Danish colonisation & conquest of the British Isles between 790 and 1066 AD. Over 100 Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, and Viking settlements are shown (distinguishable by different calligraphy styles), and it includes over 50 battle & raid locations with dates. A timeline details the major events over three centuries, and the map is decorated with Norse mythology like Odinβs ravens and the four dwarves that hold up the sky. Check it out!
