Who can use this feature?

We are gradually making AI-assisted features available, and you might not have access to all features at this time.

LinkedIn Recruiter offers a variety of powerful AI-assisted tools designed to support your hiring processes to help you meet your hiring goals. This overview follows Sam, a recruiter who uses AI in LinkedIn Recruiter to hire quality candidates.

AI-assisted hiring in Recruiter

Meet Sam, a recruiter at a fast-growing healthcare organization. She’s juggling multiple open roles, collaborating with department heads, and under pressure to find top candidates quickly. She’s just been asked to fill a new registered nurse position as soon as possible. To save time and improve her chances of finding the right candidate, Sam turns to LinkedIn Recruiter’s AI features to support each step of her hiring journey.

These AI features help Sam, and recruiters like you, boost productivity and surface qualified candidates faster. Here's how Sam uses AI in Recruiter to find quality candidates.

Step 1: Create a project with AI-Assisted Projects

Sam begins by creating a new project in Recruiter. In the chat box, she types: “Registered nurse in Chicago”. AI-Assisted Projects suggests additional criteria to help strengthen her search. These recommendations are based on similar successful projects and industry trends, helping her build a stronger candidate pool from the start. After completing the required fields, she finalizes and creates her project.

Try it yourself: Click the global search bar on your Recruiter homepage and select Create a new AI-assisted project. Enter your role details and review the AI recommendations. Visit Create a project with AI-Assisted Projects in Recruiter to learn more.

Step 2: Post a job with AI-Assisted Job Posts

Sam navigates to her project to post a job using the AI-Assisted Job Posts tool. By selecting an existing job post or draft, the AI helps her generate a new job post quickly, with suggested edits to improve clarity and alignment with her hiring goals. Sam reformats her job description using the built-in AI feature to improve the formatting to make it easier to read.

Try it yourself: Navigate to your project and click Post a job. In the AI-assisted job post creation tool, select previous jobs or drafts to save time. Visit Post a job in Recruiter and Reformat job descriptions with AI to learn more.

Step 3: Search for candidates with AI-Assisted Search

Next, Sam searches for candidates. Instead of manually setting filters on the Talent pool page, she types: “Registered nurse with ICU experience in Chicago” into the chat box. She also pastes a job description to further refine her search results. AI-Assisted Search analyzes and interprets what Sam enters, instantly applying the right search filters based on her context and intent, to match her criteria. Sam reviews profiles and adds qualified candidates to her pipeline.

Try it yourself: On the Talent pool page of your project, in the chat box, enter your candidate requirements in your own words. Visit Search with AI-Assisted Search in Recruiter to learn more.

Step 4: Send InMails with AI-Assisted Messages

Once Sam is ready to start her outreach, she uses AI-Assisted Messages to draft personalized InMail messages to up to 25 candidates at once. AI-Assisted Messages combines each candidate’s profile information with the job requirements to generate personalized messages, helping Sam save time and improve response rates.

Try it yourself: On the Pipeline page, select one or more candidates and begin drafting a message. Click Draft with AI in the body of the message and adjust the draft settings as desired. Visit Draft a message with AI-Assisted Messages in Recruiter to learn more.

Step 5: Review applicants with AI-Assisted Applicant Management

As applications come in, Sam uses AI-Assisted Applicant Management on the Applicants page to quickly identify top applicants and apply starters. She types: “Show me someone with 3 years of ICU experience.” The AI filters top matches based on her prompt, helping her focus on high-potential applicants.

Try it yourself: On the Applicants page in your project, describe what you’re looking for in the chat box to narrow down the list of applicants. Visit AI-Assisted Applicant Management in Recruiter to learn more.

Step 6: Monitor results with the InMail Report

Throughout the hiring process, Sam uses the InMail Report to track message performance. She compares the response rates for AI-generated messages vs. custom-written ones and adjusts her strategy accordingly.

Try it yourself: Open the InMail Report and navigate to the InMail Insights graph to see data on AI-assisted InMails and non-AI InMails. Visit Recruiter InMail Report terms and definitions to learn more.

Hiring results with AI in Recruiter

By the end of the week, Sam has several strong candidates in process and has saved hours of manual work. With Recruiter’s AI features, she’s able to move faster and make effective hiring decisions without sacrificing quality.
