The first exploration of the rise of one of Britain's least-recognised but most significant television genres. Working within the frame of public intellectual theory, it tells the story and analyses the means by which 'unusual kinds of star' became Britain's TV intellectuals and have developed as a genre for over 65 years.
Ths Special Issue of Short Fiction in Theory and Practice, edited by Corinne Bigot (University of Toulouse) and Christine Lorre (University of Caen), is devoted to ‘Alice Munro and Materiality’.
This volume explores the notion of a heteroglobal approach to understand global circulation of performance. This approach starts with the local theoretical and philosophical frameworks from five imagined centres and then considers the knowledges about art and globalisation that emerge from these concepts.
This Special Issue on ‘Greek Stardom and Celebrity’ seeks to invigorate and expand academic engagement on these issues by foregrounding unknown histories and testing new methodological approaches.
