Not getting the sound you expected?

Make sure the strings are pressing firmly into the top foam. If the fit feels loose or the muting isn’t even, add one of the included foam strips until it fits snugly.

Setup & Install

  1. Slide & twist - Slip the Dead Ringer sideways under your strings, holding it by its grippy ends, flat side facing the bridge. Press down gently while twisting clockwise into place.

  2. Seat it against the bridge - Press down and slide it until it’s flush against your bridge.

  3. Check the fit - The strings should press firmly into the top foam, not just touch it. If it feels loose or isn’t muting all six strings evenly, add one or more of the extra foam strips until it fits snugly. Tip: It’s better a little too tight than too loose.

  4. Enjoy instant rubber bridge tone.
