Be Prepared for Adventure by Visiting All Three Camps!
Earn the Triple Crown Award by visiting all three primary council camps within one calendar year, attend at least one summer program, and sharing their journey on social media.

Summer Requirement: Attend long-term summer camp or multi-day summer program.

Social Media: Post a photo from a trip and tagged the Connecticut Rivers Council.

Hashtags: Use #TripleCrownCamping AND #CTScouting.

Stewardship: Practice Leave No Trace and showed pride in our Council's natural resources.

BRAVE THE COLD: THE ICEBERG AWARD
Are you ready to join the ranks of the Council's toughest campers?
The Iceberg Award is a badge of honor earned only by those who can handle the freezing temperatures of a New England winter.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all registered Scouts BSA members, Venturers, Explorers, and Adult Leaders. (Not available for Cub Scouts).

THE SETTING: You must be on a sanctioned Unit, District, or Council camping event. All events must be properly supervised in accordance with Safeguarding Youth guidelines.

THE SHELTER: You must sleep in a tent, lean-to, or outdoors (such as a snow shelter).

THE TEMPERATURE: The weather must drop below freezing (32°F / 0°C) at some point during your stay.

NO CABINS: Sleeping in any permanent structure or cabin (heated or unheated) disqualifies you from the award for that night.
