«Auras determination and passion for music have

propelled her to the forefront of the industry»

NY Weekly, 2023

Over the past five years, Aura Davis has built a reputation as a fiercely honest and emotionally driven artist within the independent pop-rock landscape. Her music has always balanced strong melodies with raw self-expression—moving between intimate, stripped-back moments and powerful, anthemic arrangements. At its core, her work invites listeners into a space where vulnerability and intensity are not opposites, but forces that coexist.

Following the release of her debut EP Emotionally Unavailable, Davis took to the road and played more than 120 shows across Europe. Often touring with little more than her guitar and a sound engineer, she developed a loyal grassroots following through performances that felt immediate, unfiltered, and deeply personal. Those years shaped her artistic confidence and sharpened her voice as a songwriter who prioritises truth over polish.

Her debut album Eloquently Aggressive marked a significant step forward in scope and ambition. The record explored themes of heartbreak, identity, and self-reclamation with clarity and conviction, earning critical recognition and commercial milestones. Lawless Land received the Best Original Song award, while Hearts Don’t Bend reached #6 on the UK Commercial Pop Charts and surpassed one million streams. While the album proved her songwriting strength and reach, it also became clear that its tone and aesthetic drifted slightly away from where Davis stood as a person—prompting a period of reflection and recalibration.

That clarity now defines her current direction. Backed by a full band and supported by an official partnership with Blade Guitars, Aura Davis has shifted decisively toward alternative rock. Her newer material continues the darker emotional thread first introduced on Emotionally Unavailable, but with a more refined, assured, and mature execution. The songs are heavier, more direct, and sonically bolder—without losing lyrical depth or emotional weight.

Released on January 9, Do You Hate Me Now? signals this evolution with intent. Darker, louder, and unapologetically raw, the track reflects an artist fully aligned with her sound, her voice, and her identity. With her live shows now more dynamic and immersive than ever, Aura Davis is entering a phase defined by conviction rather than compromise—delivering bold alternative rock with no interest in playing it safe.
