All About Cheat Day

So I’m guessing it’s no time more perfect than now to start this.

Welcome to Cheat Day: A Girl’s Trek through Eating and Sweat! (Food and Perspiration kept separate for sanitary purposes 😉 This blog is my interpretation of health and wellness as a “permanent but proficient novice,” navigating both my physical and culinary capabilities as they go hand in hand to get me to my goals!

Full Disclosure: Please don’t be fooled into thinking I’ve just skated into Hot Body Master Chef territory. I’ve stumbled. I’ve gained weight back. I’ve lost weight improperly. (Believe me. That’s a real thing.) I’ve attempted unrealistic diets and challenges. I’ve not seasoned food enough. I’ve had injuries. I’ve taken fitcations. I’ve gone through happiness, heartache, and my weight rode that roller coaster with me. It’s been a journey. And I’m still on it.

All the above is pretty damn typical. It happens more often than you or I would think.

But it’s not all about me. The influence and guidance of others within the fitness and food realms have helped to develop my awareness. So, along with my personal journey, I’ll be providing insight into others whose lives are connected to wellness in a big way. From fitness instructors to dance impresarios, from professional athletes to moms on the move, Cheat Day is giving insight into the role health and wellness plays into so many different stories.

That’s what Cheat Day is about: this typical girl’s continuous journey through exercising and eating her way to a healthier quality of life…with a side of reality and ice cream from time to time. Who better to pull up a bowl of Cookies & Cream with than you all? I look forward to sharing so much with you all and hearing even more from you!
