I am a writer, poet and photographer currently living in Bangalore, India. I had a nomadic childhood and feel at home everywhere. My favourite hometowns are Bombay, Madras, Bangalore and Melbourne.

Writing

I write in multiple genres. My first love is poetry; my newest is fiction.

I’ve written three picture-books for children, all centred around wildlife and nature. Thanks to the amazing people at Pratham Books, these are free to read here.

My poetry has appeared in publications like Cordite Poetry Review, Black Bough Poetry, and Gulmohar Quarterly. It has also been included in three successive editions of the Yearbook of Indian Poetry.

In previous lives, I have been a technical writer and a humour columnist. In all of them, I have hated brinjals.

Nature Walks

I broke loose from my corporate life during the pandemic. I now lead tree-walks in my local area of Indiranagar, Bangalore, and take people out on birdwatching tours—these are in collaboration with my amazing cyclist friends at Pedal in Tandem.

Bloom & Ink

I also run Bloom & Ink with my artist partner, Kavita Arvind. We like combining our love for nature, art and writing. We did a few walk and art workshops in Cubbon Park, Bangalore, and hope to debut more events soon!
