Welcome to SUBB – Southampton University’s Brass Band
SUBB is a friendly, non-auditioned group of brass and percussion players who gather once a week to rehearse for concerts and annual events, including the University Brass Band Championships. Alongside the main band, SUBB also runs a Small Group that regularly play at local engagements in Southampton.
What do we get up to?
Main Band
The main band gather once a week on Sunday evenings to rehearse a selection of fun and challenging music, for concerts and annual events, including UniBrass.
Small Group
SUBB also runs a small group, with rehearsals led by the band’s AMD they play a range of pop to classical, and regularly play at local engagements.
Socials
Alongside the music-making, SUBB also runs a wide range of socials for everyone, from BBQ’s to bowling, to Brassed Off, pub crawls and much more.
