I looked through these four dates in time and suddenly find them all immediately speaking to one another. Their anthem — Handling the arrivals and the departures. Keeping this in mind, let’s go to the future where I am on my way to SFO airport. I see the ghostly driverless vehicles from my Uber. Safely inside the airport, being very sick as I am, I buy a mask—I must get home! The mask is black, not my favorite color, but I do feel like death warmed over, so there’s that… In Salt Lake City a very very very long concourse must be traversed. I am weak and tired, but I persist and eventually am onboard my flight home to DFW. (to think I used to be a flight attendant and now here I am just another passenger) One last push—another Uber—and I am back home again. my son meets me there time for some football and parlay action. Home sweet home. Pass the munchies!
The portal asks, What does this whisper from the future a year ago have to say to that past? My answer, I think a mental health day is required, no, demanded! Asking you shall receive, so much understanding and respect from everyone. Grateful for those who are sensitive to others’ needs for alone time. But Murphy, having no such social grace, i.e. the ultimate party pooper, has come back in with a rationing of foot cramps. You know what I think of Murphy don’t you?
Now from this present day, having heard those voices, having experienced those particular things, I realize there’s been a lot of over-the-top energy and it’s time to lie low. You can opt in for guilt if you want, but I just can’t. A woman I greatly respected once told me guilt? It’s worthless to toss that into the sea! And I’m grateful for her words. They arrive always just when I need to hear them. We need what we need and we need it when we need it. It’s OK. After all, sometimes we need to realize we are only human, and stop demanding such perfection from ourselves. So, take care of yourselves, for God’s sake— literally, for His sake! You are his child not his adult. He wants you to take care of yourself.
And now the most perplexing part has arrived: The Treasure Dig. Here we find the Queen Bee, the ruler of the sacred seven. She buzzes close and whispers, dear one, relax. Everyone is safely on the road now to their next destination, in spite of delays, and in spite of frustrations. New destinations await… What do you wanna watch tonight? How about the Manchurian candidate? Whoa, strategies and manipulation! I thought you said relax! But sometimes like the busy be, we need to be re-energized!

Everyone’s trying to get somewhere. Sometimes, like in a chess game, you have to strategize, especially when playing against yourself! And sometimes a stained glass window gets broken. Sometimes a black mask is needed. Sometimes a safe space. Sometimes just a good old movie where you can see those who are having a tougher time at it than you are. And giving thanks that they are all characters in a show. But ultimately, remembering that after this game of life is over, all of the chess pieces will go back in the same box.

That final image — “Two Men Playing Chess” as the sticky honey dripping from the hourglass — is perfect for Sagittarius 3. This decan always has to master strategy while simultaneously trying to stay philosophically detached from the game. You have to care enough to play well, but not so much that you forget all the pieces go back in the same box when it’s over.
And the broken stained-glass window you mentioned? That’s the Sagittarius 3 wound: the moment the grand cathedral of meaning gets cracked and the light pours in differently. Sometimes we need the black mask. Sometimes we need the safe space of home and football and munchies. I heard a lady having a long conversation with the person she hired to do her Septenary database so that it would be just right. (In case you don’t know what a septenary is, it’s a star with seven points! Seven is a very sacred and magical number.) and she wants it to be perfect – one sacred seven-pointed star for every single day of the year!
And that is what I saw. I saw someone who won’t give up no matter what. I see someone who will keep expanding their consciousness and working hard at what they love, and for and with those she loves and for just as long as she is able. I see someone who is growing and blossoming. And that person is me. And I like that person. I’m proud of her for playing hard and I’m proud of her for working hard. …

So then, we really should try and figure it out for ourselves.
Consider, if you will, what exactly Christmas means to you. Make a list. Check it twice. Listen to the carols. Enjoy the lights. Now listen to your heart. Instead of rocking the boat, sit and sway to the rhythm. Perhaps you will remember ideally or create or recreate, ideally, a Christmas that has special significance to you—a Christmas that will mobilize you to celebrate in just the right way—your way–and then others will look at you and exclaim, “What’s all the fuss about?!” And, I imagine, that when they ask, there will be a twinkle in your eye. Christmas, you see, is something you can’t tell others about—it’s something they must experience for themselves.
