Welcome to Happy for Now! This started as my “official” author newsletter, but it has morphed into something different over the years. I learned I don’t like talking about myself, but I really like talking about what I’m reading, watching, and cooking.

So, if you’re into those topics, come on in and hang around for a while!

Here’s what to expect…

  • Bookish posts - Book reviews/recommendations, a deep dive bookish topic, a book list, or a Read ‘Em & Eat post

  • The Happy for Now list - A list of the things that are making me happy for now or a deep dive on one particular thing. The list may include books, TV shows, an item I’m liking, a meal I’m cooking, an article I loved, etc.

  • Read ‘Em & Eat - A book review paired with a cookbook or recipe that I think goes well with the book. I have a 1000+ books on my TBR pile a 300+ cookbook library, so I have a lot to choose from!

  • Friday Night In - Movie recommendations for a Friday night in but can occasionally include a book or TV show as well

Why Happy for Now?

I’ve been writing romance novels for over a decade now, and there’s one big rule you have to follow when writing romance. The stories must have happily ever after (HEA) or happy for now (HFN) endings. Even though I write HEAs, that’s a lot of pressure for real life. So this newsletter is about the things that are making me happy for now in hopes that maybe they will bring you a little happiness too.
