Artist, illustrator, researcher, author. Not always in that order//the order keeps changing. I have worked in academia for almsot three decades, and have researched and published extensively. And I am also a visual storyteller of many media. While most of the time, my academic life and my art life exist in parallel, this Substack is dedicated specifically to exploring ways to make art as a researcher, and to tell research stories through art.

You can read more about how I view my dual identity as a researcher and an artist here; keep in touch with me here; or check my “proper” academic profile here.

If you work at the intersection of research and art, and are interested in collaboration, please get in touch.

…and if you would like to receive not-very-frequent updates about my ideas and explorations, subscribe to receive the “newsletter”, which isn’t really a newsletter in my case, but a series of lengthy reflections.
