Welcome to Antlers Lodge

Hello and welcome, my name is Patrick Benson. I make music, fix things other musicians break, and spend an unreasonable amount of time wandering through new cities and wide-open trails with a field recorder.

I’ve worked in studios, on stages, behind the computer, and deep inside guitar rigs that definitely should’ve come with warning labels. I’ve toured, tinkered, produced, mixed, repaired, and generally lived somewhere between the creative world and the technical on, usually high off solder fumes with a melody stuck in my head.

Antlers Lodge is where all of that comes together, as it’s a place for me to share the music I’m making, from rough demos and strange experiments to the songs that sneak up on me while traveling. I write about what I’m listening to, the artists lighting a fire under me, and the ways creativity hides in unexpected places.

Paid subscribers will gain access to full posts as well as the archives and will also be able to hear b-sides, demos, and unreleased music. Because I’m always on the move, you’ll also get access to field recordings from my travels, the crunch of gravel on a remote trail, the hum of a train rolling through a foreign station, waves hitting the shore at the wrong hour, or the chaotic rhythms of backstage noise. Little sonic souvenirs from the road, the outdoors, and wherever curiosity leads.

If you’re into music, creativity, and travel, or just enjoy hearing the world filtered through someone who packs both a guitar and a field recorder, I think you’ll feel at home here.
