(barharborstory.com) — Bar Harbor families in need of firewood can now turn to the MDI Community Woodbank at Hamilton Station, where local volunteers and Conners Emerson fourth graders are stacking donated hardwood for free pickup. Organizer Andrew Flanagan of Bar Harbor and a small board are urgently seeking more seasoned wood and monetary donations to help neighbors facing high heating costs this winter and next. 
• School Reorganization Vote Is Postponed for Second Time. (barharborstory.com) — Bar Harbor residents now have more time to weigh a major school reorganization, as the regional vote has been pushed from June to November. The proposed RSU would manage all Bar Harbor schools and MDI High School, and town councilors are voicing serious concerns about added tax burdens alongside the $58 million Conners Emerson rebuild.
