What you don’t see? The trauma, the abuse, and the lifelong consequences for these animals. this trend of “pet” monkeys has lead to primates being illegally smuggled into the US and trafficked around states for buyers. unfortunately there’s been many cases where innocent monkeys have been killed due to the irresponsibility of the owners who shouldn’t even have them in the first place. Monkeys are not babies, nor a cat or dog they’re WILD animals that deserve to live out in their natural environment exhibiting their natural behavior. Monkeys are NOT pets.
