I know this world can be distracting, stressful, and overwhelming. I get so lost in the mayhem that I often lay my head on my pillow at night and wonder where the day went (and month and year!). I let my emotions take me on the wild ride of worry and release me off into the dregs of despair with my unmet expectations. I miss out on the blessings before me and the life God blessed me with.

Sometimes it’s hard to see past our circumstances and we blindly look to the world for the answers and a quick fix. We think we need more of the world when we really need less. We wish we were more like the people we see in the tiny squares on our phone. The enemy loves when we are in this place of feeling lost. It helps him to keep our eyes off what we truly need, Jesus. It keeps us too busy and stressed to read God’s Word. We get irritated with our people, covet the past, and become fearful of the future. It all feels like too much.
My heart behind writing is to help you keep your eyes on Jesus so that you can be filled with His peace no matter what. When we are at peace in His presence and promises, we can be more hope-filled, joyful, and present in our own life. Shifting our gaze off of the world and onto the Lord makes all the difference! Let’s hold His gaze together!

Side note: When it comes to writing, I often feel like Moses when God first asked him to return to Egypt to speak with the Israelites and the Pharaoh. In response to God's request, Moses refuted by telling God he was slow in speech and not eloquent enough to be the leader of God’s exit plan for the Israelites. Moses begged God to send someone else (I love how God provided! Read the beautiful story in Exodus 3 & 4). Oftentimes I don’t feel qualified to call myself a writer or to share the messages God puts on my heart. As much as I try, I can’t ignore the prodding, so I write and remind myself it’s not about me but about Him and then I write some more. I pray God’s messages come through loud and clear despite some grammar and spelling errors I might miss! Grateful for the grace and support!
