Hello, friend!
I’m so glad you joined. I’m Michele, and I’m always looking for new friends to share things with—writing, dogs, the beach. It’s about friends gathering together sharing whatever brings them all the positive vibes.
What might some of those positive vibes be? That’s a good question. For me, it’s books, dogs, the beach (or traveling in general), and Rick Springfield. Or at least those are some of the main things.
Speaking of books, I write clean, later-in-life romance set at a small town on a beach. Each book has a different female telling her story while at the same time, they either are friends or will become friends at some point. For now, I’m only planning to write six books for the series, but that could always change.
And the best part? Each book will have at least one dog in it.
I don’t know about you, but dogs bring me all the positive vibes. Of course, it could be because I have two of my own, and they bring me such joy.
So, do you see why I want to talk about those things in this newsletter? They’re all things related to either my books and/or me.
Why should I subscribe to this newsletter?
Here are the things I’m thinking about:
My writing life—That would include anything related to my author life, such as updates on my WIP.
Recommendations—I love sharing books I’ve read or movies/TV shows I’ve watched.
Announcements—You’ll be some of the first people to get the news about upcoming releases and get exclusive offers.
Of course, I want to include you as much as possible in the newsletter, so I have some ideas for that:
Polls or questions—You might get to help me name a character or a place. Or you might get to vote on a cover design. Who knows what else I might ask.
Challenges—I might challenge you to write something and share it with me.
Reader spotlights—Maybe you’ll have a chance to be in the spotlight—if you’re willing—by sharing a creative piece you’ve done or a message you’ve shared with me.
So, which idea above are you most excited about? I’d love to hear about your choice and why you picked that idea!
About me
I’m a full-time author with the side job of being a school librarian. Currently, I’m working on a new series that’s clean, later-in-life romance. In the past, I’ve published women’s fiction, travelogues, and memoirs. I’ve also published a young adult sweet romance story in an anthology.
Occasionally, I do freelance editing for other authors, and I have a quarterly job writing for an indie book magazine.
As a graduate of Indiana University, I studied journalism and criminal justice. Then I decided to obtain my teaching license in secondary English and journalism. I live with my two dogs in Indiana.
If you want to continue getting to know me and haven’t already subscribed, I encourage you to do so. We can all use some positive vibes in our lives, right?
