My name is Meg.

I live in Virginia but grew up in southwest Louisiana and northeast Texas. I have always been a lover of history, and I knew almost my whole life that it was what I wanted to do as an adult! I earned my bachelor’s in history from Arizona State University with a minor in anthropology. Although I prefer English and French history and culture, my studies were almost exclusively on Colonial, Revolutionary, and Civil War American history with Mesoamerican anthropology. It was all so interesting!

Since I finished school, I have spent a lot of my time researching online, listening to podcasts, and reading about Anglo-Saxon and medieval English history and culture as well as the early Tudor era (Henry VII and Henry VIII). I recently started trying to learn more about early medieval French history as well.

I appreciate your subscriptions! I will do my utmost to research and post frequently :)

I write about English history from Henry I through the Plantagenets (1100-1485), but also sometimes anything from the Anglo-Saxon era through Henry VIII, the Vikings, and early French history.
