As each year that passes, our connection to our nation’s glorious past becomes more and more tenuous. The stories that our grandparents used to tell us about their parents’ time in the war become lost as they too are lost. The libraries in our children’s school no longer contain books that tell the story of how Canada gained its’ nationhood on the field of Vimy and Flanders.
The Heroes of the Great War Substack is your opportunity to learn about the war and our country’s participation in it through the experiences and lives of those who were there.
I do not charge for subscriptions as I want you to enjoy the product of my passion without the financial burden holding you back. If you want to support me you can purchase of copy of my Heroes of the Great War, Untold Stories of the Men of the 116th Battalion, CEF book (available from me or on amazon.com) However, a better way to support me is to help promote my page or share with a friend or family member who you know loves great war stories.
