Who am I?
I'm Alex! Nice to meet you :)
an autodidact philosopher, author and polymath exploring the boundaries between science and spirituality, rationality and wonder. With roots in both working-class immigrant culture and academic circles, I've learned to see the world through multiple lenses - a perspective that shapes everything I write.
My journey started with a relentless curiosity about everything from why clouds don't fall to the intricate nature of reality and why consciousness exists at all. This led me to write "Das Ich-Paradoxon" a book about the illusions and harmonies of self-hood, and now my ongoing series "Deus Sive Qualia" exploring consciousness as fundamental to reality.
What I Write About
Here at Left Brain Mystic, I explore:
The nature of consciousness and reality
The bridge between scientific precision and spiritual insight
Finding profound meaning in mundane moments
The evolution of mind and matter
Personal reflections on navigating an increasingly complex world
My Mission
I believe in the power of bringing together seemingly opposing perspectives: the analytical and intuitive, scientific and spiritual, personal and universal. Through my writing, I aim to:
Build bridges between different ways of understanding reality
Share authentic explorations of consciousness and existence
Find wonder in the mundane while maintaining intellectual rigor
Create dialogue between different perspectives and traditions
What to Expect
Long-form essays exploring consciousness, reality, and meaning
Personal reflections on finding wonder in everyday experiences
Poetry that dances between analysis and intuition
Regular notes on insights and observations
A commitment to both intellectual depth and experiential authenticity
