About the Founder
Hi there, Steph. here. I am the founder of the Get Fit Community. I started it with the idea in mind to have my own little fitness community for people around the world to be able to come together with one common goal, to get fit. Join the community here by subscribing to this blog.
With this blog my intentions are to bring you content to help you with your health and fitness journey.
I have knowledge about fitness from Ace Fitness and NASM. And I hope I can bring what I have learned over the past few years of studying and working out to you to help you.
I joined the gym in 2014 and have been in love with body building ever since. But before I joined the gym I did work out DVD’s, and any work out you could find on Fit TV years ago, and of course one of my favorites, yoga. I also would walk and jog laps at my local park. And of course for 2020 when the gyms were closed I kept my rhythm with at home workouts. It pays to have resistance bands, a yoga mat and some dumbbells at home, you never know when the gym may close. Lol.
I am a Southern girl, Southwest Louisiana is and always will be my home.

Who is Get Fit for?
Get Fit is for you at your level of fitness.
Below is what I will feature topics on, please subscribe for updates.
Step 1: Foundations
Step 2: Beginner
Step 3: Intermediate
Step 4: Advanced
Step 5: Body Building

Foundations
Foundations is the beginning of being fit.
There is no better feeling than knowing that you want to be fit and get moving. I don’t know about you but that makes me happy that you want to start getting active.
Together we can develop a plan to get you active.
For some that means to take daily walks, keep up with your toddler, loose weight for health reasons, meet a goal or just have some fun.
Whatever your goals, have fun.

Beginner
The Beginner articles are for anyone that wants to get started with fitness and have a routine.
Don’t be gym shy, everyone had their first day, or if you are working out at home or in a park, it’s still good to have a plan to take action.

Intermediate
This level is for being consistently active and developing or shaping your routine so that you can get moving and being consistent with your fitness goal.

Body Building
Body building is my personal favorite.
It involves lifting weights to get your body into an ideal shape.
This is my favorite because of the perks of strengthening the entire body. It not only helps you to look good but feel good as well.
If this is where you are at or where you want to be, enjoy it! It’s so fun.

Advanced
The advanced articles are for those of you who know what you are doing, but just need some tips.

What You Will Need
Comfortable shoes, training shoes, shoes with a flat surface for balance while lifting, or running shoes if you are doing cardio. For training shoes for body building I recommend converse. They are great for squats etc.
Water bottle
A towel
A granola bar or protein bar
A gym bag if you would like to keep your snacks etc. in it.
Comfortable clothing, nothing tight. Think about the movements you will be needing to do.
