About Me :

  • 🧬 A trained quantitative geneticist with research interests in statistical genomics, population genetics, and bioinformatics. Currently focused on optimizing the use of whole-genome sequence data and developing genomic prediction models for crossbred dairy cattle breeding.

  • 🥝 Based in Hamilton, New Zealand, with my husband and our fur babies 🐱 🐶

  • 🎓 Ph.D. (magna cum laude) in animal breeding and genetics, University of Hohenheim, Germany (06/09/2018).

    Financially supported by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG): Entwicklung von genomweiten Selektionsmethoden zur genetischen Konsolidierung von Nutztierpopulationen.

    Doctoral thesis title: Selection Methods for Local Breeds with Historical Introgression.

    The thesis has won the PhD dissertation award from the German Society for Animal Production. DGfZ 2019 Förderpreis
