Errors Linking CXX executable ../ydlidar_test

Hi,
after cloning the SDK and making it following the steps in the readme.md and without any modification I get the errors
/usr/bin/ld: ../libydlidar_driver.so: undefined reference to minor' /usr/bin/ld: ../libydlidar_driver.so: undefined reference to major'

I am working on Ubuntu 18.10. Any idea what I have overseen?
