what are the chances of adding a play audio feature into the microphone? by dragging and dropping mp3 and some how playing them through the microphone.

I would say the chances are low. If possible I would like to keep EasyEffects focused in being a tool that applies effects instead of one that is also a media player.

Another reason is that there is no need to add player capabilities to easyeffects to do what you are suggesting. If you click on the button

that is next to the blocklist menu button audio played in easyeffects effects pipeline will be sent to easyeffects virtual source. You just have to play the mp3 file using any audio player.
