This was failing some CI tests that I didn't see when I was changing the code and running "sbt test publishLocal", but appeared when this request was submitted. So I closed it. My apologies, "works on my machine" is not very helpful |

I needed a 0.5 scala native version of squants. After doing that I also updated the version of scala, sbt and other libraries to their most recent version. That created a bunch of deprecated warnings, so I changed the code as suggested in the warnings to remove them. I published the artifacts locally so I'm happy, but I thought maybe the changes would be useful upstream.
