PDF support

I'd love to see this be able to open and read PDF documents. Bonus points if it can call upon some OCR or other to deal with image-only PDF's.

My current thoughts on how to do this is with MuPDF, as its open source and free to use for open-source projects. Not sure on OCR, think I'd tackle that after getting the initial implementation working, but it's not at all out of the question.

mite also be useful for the badly formatted files that use heading levels on each and every line of the pdf

Just dropped the first version of PDF support in paperback with libmupdf! It's probably not perfect yet, but please try it and let me know what you think!
