Description
If an agent is standing in a webRTC region, in a parcel that has been configured with voice disabled and they join a p2p call, they do not transmit void audio until they toggle the 'speak' button off and back on. This appears to be a state issue with the 'speak' button. This bug is the same whether the user initiated or answered the call.
This issue does not affect multiagent voice calls. I believe this is because the 'Speak' button does not become enabled automatically when joining the call in that scenario.
Reproduction steps
- UserA: Go to a webRTC location with 'Enable Voice' disabled at the parcel level
- Suggestion: secondlife://Aditi/secondlife/webRTC1/207/217/24
- UserB: Go to a webRTC location with 'Enable Voice' enabled (either using a parcel channel or the estate channel is OK)
- UserA: initiate a p2p call to UserB
- UserB: answer the call
- Observe that the call connects, and that both UserA and UserB see their 'speak' buttons automatically become enabled
- UserA and UserB: speak to each other, and note if the other avatar's voice indicator and audio is heard
Expected results:
In (6), UserA and UserB should be able to speak to each other without touching any UI buttons
Actual results:
- In (6), UserA can hear UserB immediately and see their voice indicator levels in the call
- In (6), UserB does not hear UserA or see their voice indicator levels in the call. It is as though UserA is not speaking.
- If UserA toggles their 'Speak' button off and on, then expected behavior is restored - UserB can hear UserA.
