Theme requirements for Note Sidebars on content?

My themes aren't displaying the new feature recently introduced, so I wonder if theres any specific requirement my themes have to meet to get that functionality.

Sorry, should had made that clearer. Im referring to the new feature that allows to add widgets above and bellow content.

Thanks for clarifying. There are no specific requirements, outside of using the_content() to output post content. We use the the_content filter to output our sidebars before and after content on singular items (single posts, single pages, and single CPTs).

Here are a few questions that might help us get to the bottom of this issue:

• Do your themes use the_content() function to output content on singular items?
• Does your theme have any logic to adjust content via the the_content filter that may be overriding Note?
• Are there any console errors being reported in your browser?
• Are there any PHP warnings/errors that are reported on-screen or in the error logs?
• It's possible that there may be a conflict with another plugin on your install. Are you able to send us a list of active plugins?

Sorry, i've somehow missed your previous email.
Im using Timber to build my themes, according tho Timber's documentation it does use the_content to output the post's info:

When I mouseover the content however I don't see the handles shown on your video at https://vimeo.com/130115355 (0:55) where you can attach a "note sidebar".

Thanks for providing more information. I looked at the Timber codebase and it looks like it should be calling the_content filter, but I wasn't able to determine why the issue is occurring with your themes.

Would you mind sending a copy of one of your themes to discover@slocumstudio.com so we can further debug on our end?

Sorry for the delay Scott. I need to build a simpler test case otherwise you would need to install a few hard dependencies im putting on my themes.
Give me a couple days to prepare this and i'll get back to you with it.

Scott, deeply sorry for failing to giving you further feedback on this.
I can send you one of our themes, I have no problems with it. Problem is we have a pretty specific environment. For example we use http://upstatement.com/timber/ for all our themes, and that is probably why something is failing.

Using Timber, we do not use the_content function for example, so I was wondering if you could say where are you hooking Note Sidebars. Maybe that way I could investigate it, saving you the time to install our theme in the process.
