Installation of PenQ 1.1 Doesn't Work

• Running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS in a VirtuaBox VM hosted on a Mac.
• Downloaded PenQ 1.1 and followed the instructions (chmod +x....).
• Ran the script to install (./PenQ-installer-1.1.sh).
• No prompt for password.
• System says "Unpacking PenQ files.... - [OK]
• Nothing else happens.

Exact same problem with Kali Linux 2016.2 on VMware workstation hosted on Windows. Couldn't find much troubleshooting assistance online aside from a couple of people posting with the same issue. Hopefully it's fixed soon, would like to test it out!
