Invalid data found when processing input

I get an error when trying to play the live view using ffplay:

Invalid data found when processing input

However, I can play the live stream using the Java UDPServer from http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/6703/control-your-gh3-from-a-web-browser-now-with-video-/p1

I use a Panasonic DMC-LF1 at the moment. What camera do you use? Can you still show live view of your camera using ffplay?
