a tiny unix pipe utitlity that reads in newline delimited items and organizes those items in lines that do not exceed a configurable amount of characters

i deal a lot with CSV files so if I am trying to prepare a large list of things to search for in SQL it usually looks like this:
$ cat data.csv | \
q 'select id_column from - where thing = "foo"' | \
xsv sample 10 | \
tail -n+2 | \
prettylist --singlequote --maxlen 120 --nspaces 4
(q is https://github.com/harelba/q, xsv is https://github.com/BurntSushi/xsv)
and the output from prettylist should look like this:
