Wallpaper Engine Issue After Logout

I encountered a problem with the Wallpaper Engine after logging out of the system. Upon reopening the application, it appears to be broken. Additionally, when I attempt to change the wallpaper, the theme does not update in my Kitty terminal or on Waybar.

Steps to Reproduce:

Log out of the system.
Reopen the Wallpaper Engine.
Change the wallpaper.
Expected Behavior:
The wallpaper should change, and the theme should update accordingly in both the Kitty terminal and Waybar.

Actual Behavior:
The Wallpaper Engine appears broken, and changing the wallpaper does not affect the theme in the Kitty terminal or Waybar.
