A small Ruby script to aggregate your Netflix Recently Watched (RW) history. I've always wondered why Netflix didn't include a personal "account statistics" section, but this was my first attempt at rolling my own.

Just put your Netflix email and password into the appropriate fields and then run ruby statflix.rb. The script will print out everything that you've watched today and add together the sum of the time spent watching.

If you want some data to test locally, log in to you Netflix account in any browser and navigate to https://api-global.netflix.com/desktop/account/viewinghistory. This will return a JSON file of your RW history.

Personally, I wrote this script as a way to generate a report that I will then send in a daily email. Other uses could be:

• Daily backup of RW history
• Pipe the data to Google Charts and create sweet data-driven info-graphs!
• NRWHAASA (Netflix Recently Watched History As A Service)
