3x3 or 5x5 average color option?

When sampling colors from pictures, I would greatly appreciate an option to sample an average color from a 3x3 og 5x5 grid. This to minimize the effect of picture noize.

Thanks for the idea. It is actually quite interesting. I'm not sure how easily could this be solved, but as I often have problem with picture noise, I might give it a try.
