Following what I believe is the NoFlo scanner convention, for now newlines will only be accepted at "end of clause", i.e. a list of connections in "flow" style: A OUT -> IN B OUT -> IN C, etc.
End of clause can also be signalled by a comma - in my view this is a better convention, as it would allow line ends anywhere in the syntax, allowing more flexibility in the layout.
So this more of a question - does anyone feel we should go that way... or even allow both modes, with some sort of mode switch?
