Multiple instances in browser environment

I think that in-memory data could be coordinated via Shared Workers.

On a server, this is a bit more tricky, since instances are not necessarily on the same machine.

Maybe this is not a problem worth tackling. I think that actually the IndexedDB adapter should not have a memory cache in front and just read from disk all the time.
