Use kity for terminal emulator?

Instead of the default macOS Terminal or iTerm I want to use Kitty as my terminal.

Inside shuttle.json i set

"terminal": "kitty.app",

It's the exact file name under Applications and it still does not work, instead it simply opens default macOS Terminal.
Any help is appreciated.
