Description
Describe the bug
Using LVGL 9.x in EEZ Studio with EEZ Flow or without results in a buggy animation of the spinner component.
The buggy animation makes it way to the final product after compilation too; which is shown in this Phil's Lab video.
This bug is nowhere to be seen if you select LVGL version 8.x; at least in the EEZ Studio, I haven't tried it on a real embedded system.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior in the studio (refer to Phil's video if you want the full procedure):
- Open up EEZ Studio
- Create an "LVGL" or "LVGL with EEZ Flow" project with the LVGL Version 9.x selected
- Place a spinner component on the page
- Notice how the spinner does not animate properly like in the case you select LVGL version 8.x
Expected behavior
A smooth continuous spinner animation just like in the LVGL documentation, or not to go too far: a proper animation just like in the EEZ Studio LVGL version 8.x.
Video
Phil's Lab video shows this in action with a detailed procedure on how to obtain it both in EEZ Studio and on a real embedded system.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
Please note this is not what was used by Phil in his video.
- OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit
- Version 25H2 Build 26200.7623
LVGL version (if used)
- 9.x in my case in the EEZ Studio (specifically 9.3 in the Phil's Lab video)
Additional context
I've tried to use the LVGL 9.x spinner component in other software and it worked fine, at least inside their studio application.
