Design and roll out a new database schema

The current database scheme used in the server was just something quickly thrown together to store the information to give a demo of some very bare functionality.

For example something to consider is having a deleted column on the geometry table in order to address #10.

Similarly a way to associate the event that the geometry was created during.

Ideally as part of the design work it would be good to also work on #2 (i.e maybe design it as the documentations before rolling it out).
