Reference ESP8266 with DS18B20
- https://github.com/terahurts/ESP8266-DS18B20-Thingspeak/blob/master/ESP8266-DS18B20-Thingspeak.ino WARNING!!!
- Never connect ESP8266 to computer usb AND connect it to a power source. You potentially will fry your computer USB.
- Reconfirm polarity. Breadboard power module MD-102 have a reversed polarity!
NOTES:
- 9V battery is not sufficient to power ESP8266. 9V battery might only able to supply 500mAh. Need a bigger current supply.
Project history below:
Trying to develop a device that allows temperature data logging as simple as possible. Resource available will be a laptop that can standby to record data. Other option will be to upload data to cloud.
Hardware alternatives:
- Microbit Using Makecode Microbit is found to have a limitation of 20s. Another means to circumvent this is to sleep the microbit in between data recording.
- ESP32
