Lost context to pasted text

• Claude CLI version: 1.0.11
• Operating System: Macos 15.5
• Terminal: iTerm2

Bug Description

1. I gave an input prompt to claude code
2. It started working on it.
3. I pasted some large content in the input box where it says: [Pasted text # 1 +1198 lines]
4. Since the existing prompt was being processed and it wanted to use a tool, it asked me for permission
5. I gave the permission and when it stopped processing the current prompt, i sent my prewritten message with large text
6. My message was not expanded. it was sent as the string "[Pasted text # 1 +1198 lines]"
7. Apparantly it lost the context to what i actually pasted.

Expected Behavior

It should have the context of the large text that was pasted

Actual Behavior

it lost the actual text that was pasted and remembered the string "[Pasted text #1 +1198 lines]" instead

Had claude code been open sourced I would have loved to work on these issues :(
