The ArchivesSpace assessment “Record List” report can hold valuable data about a repository that can be leveraged in different contexts (strategic planning, collections management, etc.). However, the complexity of the report and the number of columns (70+) in the .csv can pose challenges to users wishing to make the most of their assessment data. This script aims to support the leveraging of assessment data by making it possible to:
- get “big picture” views of the assessment data by summarizing and creating plots for key variables and
- find assessment records that meet specific criteria and write them to a new file
...without combing through the .csv in a spreadsheet application. It can be easily modified to suit individual circumstances.
