Anna Nawrocka

I have been working as a Registered Nurse in the UK for over 9 years. For a long time, I was terrified of a career change. A role in IT always felt so distant and different from my daily work. Nevertheless, I found the strength and courage and in January I started 16-week coding bootcamp run by Makers Academy.

Completing bootcamp gave me confidence as a Junior Developer, also I know that I can learn anything, regardless my background.

Before starting Makers Academy I and earned two ISTQB® certifications ("Tester Foundation Level - Agile Tester (ISTQB CTFL-AT)" and "Tester Foundation Level (ISTQB CTFL)").

I'm very excited to begin my first role within the tech industry and to continue to learn, which so far has been rewarding experience. I am big problem solver and I would love to improve my analytical and decision-making skills.

Skills

Flexible Quick Learner

I am flexible individual who easily adapts to new environments very quickly and enjoys the challenges of meeting deadlines/targets. I am not afraid of tasks that require self-studying and going outside of my comfort and knowledge zone.

In the past I was challenged with learning everything from scratch following a transfer from cardiology to fertility, ensuring that all organisational objectives were met and achieved.

Team Player and Good Communicator

I have good interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively on all levels within an organisation. I am an experienced and driven senior professional who can significantly support and lead a team of employees to ensure the achievement of all objectives. I can participate effectively into teamwork and use own initiative when required. As a Senior Nurse I was training and mentoring other Nurses and other Healthcare Professionals. I understand that communication is as much an important part of technology as programming.
