• Make sure all screenshots are relevant to the latest version
• Make sure videos, if any, are up to date
• Add ALT tags for the images
• Make sure the headings are in sentence case
• Convert all reusable blocks to a ‘regular block’.
• Update the changelog at the end of the article

Notes

1. We are not adding detailed updates for the Block settings - Typography, Color, Layout, Dimension and Border and for the More Options setting in the block toolbar. Pls mention the settings included for the block and link to the detailed settings pages instead.
2. Some of the PRs have great videos that can be added to the article.

New changes to the Image block

• Margin block support added
  The Image block now supports margins via block supports ("spacing": { "margin": true }). This brings it in line with other blocks that already allow margin customization, giving users more flexibility in layout control.

• Padding explicitly excluded
  Padding was deliberately not added, as it doesn’t provide meaningful styling for images wrapped in <figure>.

• Refined style handling

  • Updated data-wp-bind--style binding to reference state.figureStyles instead of state.currentImage.figureStyles.
  • Introduced a new figureStyles getter that ensures margins applied through block supports don’t conflict with margins from the current image state. It strips out any margin declarations when overlays are active.

## Image block: Margin support
You can now adjust the margins around the Image block. This makes it easier to control spacing between images and other content, and keeps the Image block consistent with how margins work across other blocks.
### What’s new?
- Margin controls are now available in the block settings sidebar.
- Any margins set will apply directly to the <figure> element that wraps the image.
### What’s not included?
- Padding support is intentionally not available, since adding padding inside an image block doesn’t provide useful design outcomes.
