I thoroughly enjoyed practicing my refactoring during this kata. Although my aim was to try to apply SOLID principles to the code, I spent the first section of the challenge simply unpacking the if statements and trying to get visibility on the whole thing. Once that was done I could remove any repetition and then move onto splitting up classes where possible. See this in more detail on my blog.
