Welcome to Educator Tools, an open-source Minecraft Education Add-On developed by Shapescape. This tool aims to help teachers by adding powerful classroom management features, allowing them to easily control gameplay, improve engagement, and create structured learning environments.
To add Educator Tools to your world, follow these steps:

Download the .mcaddon File
The Educator Tools Add-On is packaged as a.mcaddonfile. Download the latest version here. -
Import into Minecraft Education
- Locate the
.mcaddonfile on your device. - Open it with Minecraft Education.
- The add-on will automatically be imported in the game. Restart Minecraft Education if necessary.

Enable the Add-On in a World
- Open Minecraft Education and go to the Play menu.
- Select Create New or choose an existing world to edit.
- In World Settings, go to Resource Packs and Behavior Packs.
- Click My Packs, find Educator Tools, and activate the pack.
- Click Create or Play to start using the tools in your world.
The Educator Tools Add-On introduces several key functionalities for classroom management, including:
- Educator Tool UI – A reorganized, intuitive in-game menu accessible only by teachers (now supports multiple teachers).
- Teleport System – Move players to specific locations, teleport students to each other, or bring the entire class together.
- Gamemode Management – Instantly switch between Creative, Survival, Adventure, and now Spectator Mode for specific players or everyone.
- Custom Nicknames – Assign and manage nicknames for students to enhance engagement and personalization.
- Assignments Tool – Create tasks and let students submit their builds or work directly in-game.
- Team Management – Create and manage teams to organize classroom activities and challenges.
- Focus Mode – Temporarily pause students’ screens to regain attention or give instructions.
- Timer System – Set a visible timer for structured activities with event-based notifications.
- World Settings Control – Change weather, time, PvP, spawning, and more directly from the interface.
- Per-Player Location Lock – Lock individual students to a position or area for controlled activities.
- Lock Players Mechanic – Enhanced area locking with clearer boundaries for group control.
- Inventory Management – Give, clear, copy, or standardize inventories; includes the original inventory copy functionality.
- Player Health Management UI – Manage player health directly from a dedicated interface.
- Custom Letter & Number Blocks – Letter, number, and symbol blocks for educational builds.
- More Letter Blocks Add-On – Optional companion add-on adding hundreds of colorful new blocks.
- Advanced Letter Block Generation – Generate letter images with custom sizes, anti-aliasing, grouping, and safe filenames.
