Playback not possible with Widevine CDM version 4.10.2891.0

Hi,

I am using Libreelec 12.02 and tried to fix my issue with Amazon VOD 1.1.6-beta1 - no success, same error message

• I open Amazon VOD, see all entries, but when I try to open a film/ series/"anthing", I get "replay not possible / general error" (in German: Wiedergabe nicht möglich / allgemeiner Fehler".

I tried everything, no success.

Any idea?

Difficult to say without a log.
The latest Widevine CDM update from Google may be to fault. No playback is currently possible with version 4.10.2891.0.

I'd like to chime in, because I got the same problem trying the latest beta 1.1.6 on Windows 10/11.

Which logs would be helpful to you @Sandmann79 (...) full Kodi Debug Log plus logging enabled inside your Plugin settings including a system restart after they have been enabled?

BTW: I've tried your latests 1.1.6-beta1 on my Odroid C4/N2+ (CoreELEC 21.2 NG), and so far they are working fine with it.

@KaNo2025 the problem did not exist with the stable addon version 1.1.5? Otherwise, the kodi debug log is sufficient for now.

@Sandmann79 no, the problem did exist with 1.1.5 too on Windows 10/11/CoreELEC.

First, I've tried to completely remove the plugin including its repository and caches for a fresh reinstallation with the latest official 1.1.5 but without any success. For the Odroids, the salvation came with your 1.1.6-beta. But on the Windows system I still had no luck with it.

Hi, in my case (Intel Core i3-6100T/ LibreELEC 12.0.2/ InputStream Helper 0.7.0) it did not work with neither Amazon VOD 1.1.5 nor 1.1.6-beta. Tried everything

• cleared cache
• uninstalled 1.1.5
• reinstalled
• downgraded to LibreELEC 12.0.1
• upgraded again to LibreELEC 12.0.2
• installed Amazon VOD 1.1.6-beta
• of course, restarted several times

What DID happen was: I was asked to install the new Widevine yesterday. However, I couldn't tell if it had worked before that update.

Is the log file attached the one you would need?

As I suspected, you both have WV CDM version 4.10.2891.0 which is not working.
For a technical explanation look here.

You have to roll back to an older version via Inputstream helper.

Btw that's not an Addon issue.

Just tested it on my Windows 10 system, rolling back to CDM version 4.10.2830.0 as described in your provided link to that issue. Now it's working again.
